Enrico Camanni

Journalist and mountaineer

Born in Turin in 1957, he joined journalism through mountaineering. He was Editor-in-Chief of the Rivista della Montagna and founder-editor of the monthly magazine ‘Alp’ and of the international six-monthly ‘L’Alpe’. He has written many books on the history and literature of the Alps and mountaineering (including ‘The new life of the Alps’, Bollati Boringhieri 2002, ‘Rebel Alps’, Laterza 2016, ‘History of the Alps’, Biblioteca dell’Immagine 2017) and six novels set in different historical periods. He collaborates regularly with “La Stampa”. He has dedicated himself to the exhibition projects with the scientific direction of the ‘Museo delle Alpi’ at the Forte di Vinadio, and the renovated Museum of the Mountain of Turin. He is currently the President of Sweet Mountains.
