Federica Badino

Researcher

Currently a research fellow at the University of Bologna, Department of Cultural Heritage. She graduated in Nature Sciences from the University of Milan, and obtained a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Department of Environment and Earth Sciences, University of Milan-Bicocca. She carries out research in the field of paleoecology, which deals with the evolution of the environment and climate in the Quaternary Period.
The methods used are those typical of palinology, plant paleoecology and stratigraphy, such as pollen analysis of sedimentary successions (lake, peat bog and alluvial) and the use of plants as sensitive indicators of landscape changes.
