This year the aim is to emphasise the beauty of the pioneer and spontaneous vegetation which re-appropriates man-made spaces. The project therefore aims to generate ‘dissonant’ spaces, or, as with music, the dissonance and discord of sounds that produce an impression of instability. In OBI’s project, the dissonance is represented by the encounter between nature and man. Differences that are formal rather than of substance. OBI’s dissonant harmonies show the role of the conductor of the orchestra who experiments with yet-unknown sounds (pioneer sounds) and brings them to a spontaneous dimension, that dimension which at first seemed in dissonance.
